About Dr. Ma

Laiyin Ma, M.D., the founder of Envision Eye Group, is a board-certified ophthalmologist, with a specialty in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. She is also certified in LASIK, PRK, and EVO ICL.

Education & Training

Dr. Ma completed her Bachelor and Master degrees at Peking University, and M.D. at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She did her residency at New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where she was chief resident. She then completed her fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Tufts Medical Center.

Research & Publications

Dr. Ma's research is focused on corneal transplant and keratoconus, and she has published in top peer-reviewed journals, such as Ophthalmology and American Journal of Ophthalmology.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Ma is committed to patient education, and has been working as an educator at multiple eye institutions. She believes in personalized, one-on-one care, and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and basic Spanish to serve her diverse patient base. She is currently accepting new patients.
